High Schoolers
Apply for the ROTC National Scholarship to compete for 4-year ROTC scholarships. These scholarships offer to you a $420/month stipend, a $600/semester book allowance, and your choice of either 100% coverage of tuition (excluding fees) or $6000/semester for Room and Board. In-State students may still receive HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarships to cover tuition while receive Room and Board pay. Students awarded theirscholarships must contract with ROTC in order to receive their benefits.
Current JROTC Cadets
Current high school students enrolled in JROTC in Georgia have the opportunity to apply for the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame (GMVHOF) scholarship. Applicants must be JROTC cadets in good standing and must enroll in ROTC at a 4-year college/university in Georgia.
- $4000 dollars, paid in two payments of $2000, one at the beginning of their first semester and one at the end of the semester
- Applicants must enroll in an entry level ROTC Military Science class and complete the semester to receive the full scholarship
College Students
Current College students may also apply for the ROTC National Scholarship, receiving 2-, 3-, or 4-year scholarships based on availability and semesters until graduation. Scholarship recipients must contract to receive their $600/semester book allowance, $420/month stipend, and either 100% tuition (excluding fees) coverage or $6000/semester for Room and Board. New Cadets who have less than 6 semesters before graduation must attend Basic Camp over the summer prior to their MSIII year in order to receive the instruction and training missed during their Freshman and Sophomore years. Cadets who sign and report to Basic Camp will receive a $5000 signing bonus.
Active-Duty Personnel
Active-Duty personnel have the opportunity to apply for the Green to Gold program and join an ROTC program.
Green to Gold Applicants may apply for the:
- Active-Duty Option (ADO): Remain on Active-Duty while attending University.
- Scholarship Option: Leave Active-Duty and receive the Green to Gold Scholarship and a monthly stipend.
- Non-Scholarship Option: Leave Active Duty and receive a monthly stipend.
- Division Commander’s Hip Pocket Scholarship: Receive the ROTC Scholarship
National Guardsmen and Reservists
Reserve Component Personnel (Army Reserves and National Guard) have many opportunities to pay for their degree. Additionally, Cadets who have not contracted through the ROTC National Scholarship may wish to contract through their reserve component of their choice.
Reserve Component Scholarships and Programs
- Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP): Participants are both enrolled in ROTC and reporting to their Reserve or Guard unit. Cadets enrolled in this program receive the monthly stipend of $420 and are withheld from being deployed while pursuing their degree, among other benefits.
- Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD): Cadets entering their Junior year have the option to receive the GRFD scholarship, receiving full tuition assistance, must enroll in the SMP program, and are required to enter the Army Reserves upon commissioning.
- Dedicated National Guard Scholarship (DEDNG): Cadets may apply for the DEDNG scholarship, which awards full tuition coverage and $600/semester book allowance, requires enrollment in the SMP program, and must commission into the National Guard upon graduation.
